TESTING: Paranoid Classic

So… Syoudous has been working on a “Paranoid Classic Remake” for a while, and we just gave it an online test run. The testing went pretty well and apparently nothing was broken; but some things (that were like that on the old maps this Classic version tries to emulate) will probably need some changes and tweaking to make it more enjoyable: like the low number of infections on Reversed Silent Hill, the lack of Zombie-Shortcuts on Normal Reverse, or how people getting lost (or AFK) can delay the round a lot if they are not found, as some global “keep advancing or lose” triggers are missing.

The making of this classic version was inspired mostly by how many people (Syoudous included) seemed to prefer the old Turbo or Reborn versions over the newest Ultimate and Rezurrection ones.
The map contains some of the things that were removed on later versions (like the Turtle Launcher or Zombie Ghost) and tries to bring back the feeling of the old Paranoid while doing some fixes (on things that were buggy or broken on the old versions) along with some improvements (like new particles or balance changes on OP weapons).

For those that only know the newest versions (Rezurrection) of Paranoid, one of the major differences is the fact that most weapons and special items have set spawn positions and are never repeated.

Since we already tested it and the map is going to need some further fixing/tweaking, I removed both the Link and the Test Server IP.
Thanks to everyone that joined; and if you feel you saw a bug or had some kind of problem with the map, please post about it here so Syouduous can be aware of it in case he needs to do some extra changes.

    I loved it! I only played 3 rounds and I must say, the change of the Paranoid as wel currently know it is really nice. Both versions are somewhat different visually and architecurally, and some items are different/absent, making it very agreeable to change between versions.

    I just fear for a voting habitude where both paranoids would come after each other, as it would kill somewhat the population of a server (I know I wouldn’t wanna play the 2 version after each other).

    Great comeback among the maps would I say!

    Do the map can be play on a LAN server ? (= only one player as ct). Because i tried, but the grid didn’t opened, and i couldn’t enter in the tunnel. After i used noclip to go in the labyrinth, but there was no weapons in rooms 😦

    You can’t play it on singleplayer last Anoynmous.
    However, if you really want to try doing so, I believe going Terrorist and waiting for the selection to occur is the way to go. Then you will need to NoClip.
    You can use Host_Timescale 1-10 for speeding up the process if you are looking for a specific gamemode.
